You’ve heard of central air, have you heard of a central vacuum system? Just as central air conveniently and efficiently cools and heats your entire home, a central vacuum system is a convenient, centrally located vacuum system that provides seamless hookups in every room to vacuum the entire house without a standalone unit to lug around and store or bulky cords to plug into the nearest outlet, room after room.

A central vacuum system is the best way to vacuum. If you’re not convinced, here are a few compelling reasons why.

Pure Convenience

Cleaning should be easy, or we risk not doing it as often as we should! Along that line, we all have that corner of our home that our vacuum cord can’t quite reach. We might get as close as possible before the cord pulls out from the outlet, but there are always those last few square inches that we leave for another day.

Central vacuum systems don’t have that problem. Inlets are conveniently built into every room of your home. All you have to do is connect the hose and begin cleaning. We’ve heard many customers tell us that vacuuming with a centralized system is actually fun!

Relatively Noiseless

If you have children or pets, then you know that the deafening roar of a vacuum can be a complete pain. Traditional vacuums are loud and can be scary to our little ones. No longer will you wake up your sleeping toddler or watch your dog or cat scramble under the couch in fear of the vacuum.

Say Goodbye to Lugging Around the Vacuum

As much as a vacuum manufacturer will tell you that their product is lightweight, they are always bending the truth. Vacuums aren’t light, especially if you have a multi-level home. As New Englanders, you might also ask yourself when you last lugged your vacuum into the basement. Vacuums are burdensome and keep us from cleaning our homes. They also must be stored. For those of us without utility closets, that means our vacuums often share space with our coats!

Cordless? Corded? Who Cares!

Standalone vacuums suffer a problem of practicality. Corded vacuums are bulky and rely on an outlet, which means you often have to go from room to room, plugging your vacuum in as you go. Have you ever vacuumed in the middle of summer and tripped a breaker because you plugged your vacuum into the same circuit as your air conditioner?

So, why not go with a cordless vacuum? The problem with this style of vacuum is that their batteries only last so long. This means you either run them in their underpowered “efficiency” mode or go full-bore and drain the battery within 15-20 minutes of use. Even when used efficiently, many cordless vacuums won’t last long enough for larger homes.

Central vacuum systems do not rely on batteries or outlets. Simply connect the hose at an inlet and enjoy a fully-powered, convenient vacuum!

Stronger Motors Mean Better Performance

Even standalone vacuums must be portable and relatively compact, this means they must sacrifice power for portability with a smaller motor. Central vacuum systems are centrally located and stationery. This means they can afford to have a larger, more powerful motor that results in higher suction and better performance. With a central vacuum system, you don’t have to compromise.
